The Hippodrome State Theater was built in 1911. As the first courthouse in Gainesville, it housed the federal courthouse and the United States Post Office. This beautiful building is of Greek Revival design and contains ornate features such as floral molding and copper front doors. This historic courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
