The Collier County Courthouse has been occupied since 1990. The courthouse has a commanding presence due to its angular placement within the County Government Center near downtown Naples. Skylights are a predominant design feature that allow citizens and court personnel to enjoy the Southwest Florida sunshine. The Collier County Courthouse was expanded in 2009 with the construction of a seven story wing that is connected to the main courthouse by a four story atrium. The entire courthouse complex is contemporary in design, reflecting a tropical modernism theme. A pedestrian mall is featured within the government center complex.
